Seagate 250GB Terminal Rst 08M Buzz

Dear Respected Members
please advice with your kind suggestion what could be the problem i am getting below error message in terminal mode while hard disk shows busy all the time and there is no sound

250GB

when i press CTRL +Z it gives me F> and start the Buzz again

Your occupation is listed as 'Data Recovery Expert' yet you do not know about stiction?

Outsource it.

I wonder if "no sound" is really "no sound" or is "hear something from the hdd" .... it's different !

then outsource it before you open to keep costs down, get the data recovered as a priority, then once data is safe ask client if you can keep drive for 'spares' and you can experiment with it after

I give up. "spinning sound" to me means the drive is spinning, but terminal says otherwise... If you hear a series of ATTEMPT TO SPIN, is one thing. If it spin up and down, another.

To be sure about stickion. you must open HDD case in a clean room

but is you are not familiarized, better outsource this case a said HDDGuy
