Seagate Momentus Thin

March 2nd, 2014, 9:38

Hello!
I have Seagate 320 GB Thin drive, needs heads replacement. The problem that the drive encrypted with endpoint.

Model : ST320LT007
FW : 003DEM1

Is there a way to disable the endpoint encryption to retrieve the data from the drive after heads replacement.

Thanks in advance.

what ver endpoint is this?
Either way, from what I know, it is not possible to disable the encryption on the fly, unless it a very new version which I do not have experience with and things have changed. For the older versions, it needs to actually go through the decryption process.
