Hello ,
I was referring to data medics forums - >
https://www.data-medics.com/forum/viewt ... ?f=25&t=13 .In This We Have a Line That For USB Number 771961 We Can Use PCB No 771959 or 7717939 or 771960 .I had ordered 771959 But the Holes Orientation is all different in the 771959 you cannot install it properly on 771961 .So i asked my supplier for 771939 and 771960 to which he quotes me for 771960 but said 771939 does not exist .Any Comments .
PS : For The USB 771961 The 7717959 Does Not Fit At All [ Do Not Buy It ]

yes, it will not install properly, but it will work properly you have to use 02 screws at head contacts and one on the right edge near the motor contacts.
give it a try, it will work.
good luck

It's true, it does "sort of fit" enough to make the connections and work

Yes, the SATA PCB doesn't fit, but it is fitted by 3 screws.
I've never seen 771939, may be it doesn't exist.

This 771960 is completely compatible with 771961. It's full SATA-analog of 771961.

Well,
The Main Issue for my posting with this thread was explaining the world that 7717959 is not proper hole orientation as the usb pcb

Hi Amarbir is right,
See attached picture
The spindle contacts are near the motor
I'm not able to find it again, but the board 771939 is it seen by me red color instead than green, maybe it is reallya a rare board
Though Marvell processor is the same as in the 771814 (USB) and 771820 (SATA equivalent for 771814), on these latter boards, the spindle connector is in the right place
what it does change is the HDA controller, maybe they could work.
Now I try

OK discovered the issue
board 771820 loads the ROM but next the drive won't spin
mounted the board on the donor, it won't spin anymore neither the donor drive
finally I've re loaded the original ROM on the donor and now it is back spinning and initialize fine
Looks like that one test with that mysterious 771939 board is needed, otherwise the only way is the transformation USB-->SATA

I was right, the board 771939 does exists!
See this (ORIGINAL) declaration of conformity of Western Digital

Hello Amarbir, have you modified the board?
can you kindly show / describe what you kindly mean? Or how you did it?
Thank you
