Samsung HM750LI - maybe FIPS checksum error

March 14th, 2023, 3:52

Hello, can I ask for help?
I have a problem with the Samsung HM750LI drive - it is not detected and I have a donor board. I have the same, working disc model. I replaced the IC from the non-working one, but the situation is the same - the motor does not turn, the disk does not detect.

Terminal output:
Active FW : 00
FWVer : 0001
DDR size detected : SIPC status 00001002
SERVO
Unpack fail

It looks like there is maybe a problem with the FIPS checksum.
Is there anyone here who is able and willing to check the dump for me? Eventually tried to fix it? :)
I have both dumps - from a working and non-working disk.

cs is ok but contents are busted... copying it from the donor should work...

Thanks for your reply, pepe.
I'll try to play with it - but I don't know how exactly
I'm a beginner, but I enjoy and am interested in similar things. So far I only have an eeprom programmer and a TTL converter ... so basically nothing
However, I have the desire and optimism
