April 3rd, 2005, 3:00

Hi board users.

I am looking for Seagate U8 ROM, with firmware version 3.13. The model is ST38410A (8.4gb). This firmware can be read by PC3000.

If anyone have it and can be kind enough to send me by mail ...

Thanks

Just unsolder the BIOS chip from the old PCB and solder it to the new one. It's easy! I have done it many times. It's always hard to find the right FW for Seagate disks... Good luck!

hi,

- find the right FW for Seagate disks...
- it's easy, connect Terminal Seagate to seagate disk, next Hyper terminal from XP and put this command from keyboard

1. ctrl R
2. ctrl C
3. for s/n %

it's all
- unlock passwd , this is hard working, example for Uxx model ST310014ACE.
