Hi,
I got HTS545032B9A300 2.5" SATA HDD Hitachi, spin down. It spin in the first time and spindle down.
I can't access to SA. Anyway to short pins? Any short pins information?
Or it may other way.

Yep, you can try to short VCC and GND test pins, it really may help. Enjoy!

Hi Northwind,
Yes, head replaced with same donor.
Currently no more spin down, it is READY, but having error when access to SA.
No ID detection yet.

As you wrote above, I thought the spindle motor does not spinning. So does it rotating or not?
If heads are changed, spindle motor continues to spinning, and no clicking sound, then I would check the NV-RAM version first. It may be an alien PCB & ROM. Check the NV-RAM version in the ROM and version at the HDA label.

Hi aekhv,
Spindle is spinning and keep spinning after head replacement.
Head is moving, I heard one click, no clicking.
When selecting ID, drive READY with ERROR and ABR.
Let me check the NV-RAM version in the ROM... compare to the label.
Who knows wrong PCB.

According to shield warranty stickers on HDD and PCB, it is originally unopened.
Anyway I will check ROM.
