hi
my harddrive has recently been having problems :(
one day, after turning on my computer i was unable to move certain files around, message was "data corrupt."
then i removed the harddrive to try it in anothing comuter, and it said the same thing.
now, i put the harddrive back into my computer, and i cannot see it. The hardware manager can see it, but no drive icon shows up. i tried a couple recovery tools, but they just hung then quit.
it sounds like its not turning
any ideas on problem and fixes?
all help appreciated!
thanks in advance

Hi,

if u need the data, U should not run victoria!
just create an image of the bad drive and try some logical recovery SW on the image.

regards,
pepe

try copyr or media tools.
logical recovery SW will fail on the bad drive very probably.

no luck :(
copyr won't boot up
and media tools can't read the drive, neither can DivX (if thats correct, i forget)
bios reads the drive just fine, hardware manager as well; but nothing else :-/
any more ideas? do i need a new board?

You need PC3000 for this case, may be some module on it is damage. If can not repair, you need Data Extractor for recover data.
