I have a Fujitsu MHV2100AH 2.5" harddrive that was accidentally locked by installing it in another system. The drive has no data on it. Is there a way to wipe the data and remove the password?

MHDD says:

FUJITSU MHV2100AH LBA: 195,371,568 BIOS: 82H
SN:XXXXXXXX FW: 00000096 Cache:8192KB
Supports: HPA AAM DLMC LBA MS16 DMA (UDMA5, MWDMA2)
SMART: Disabled Selftest: Supported Errorlog: Supported
SECURITY: HIGH, ON Size=95396

WARNING: THIS DRIVE IS LOCKED BY ATA PASSWORD

Thanks.

you need professional tools PC3000 or you can have cheaper alternative like

http://www.hdd-tools.com/products/rrs/

go for cheaper in your case.

Can I use MHDD to issue the security erase command? I think I know the master Pwd, it should be 32 spaces.

Hi,

I don't see an imediate command U could use in MHDD, however in some older versions there is a scripting engine U can use for this purpose.
Or maybe the fasterase command.
