THE MOTOR SPINS VERY SLOWLY (30 RPM) AS I DO IN ORDER THAT IT WORKS TO (REVOLVE)

Suggestions:

1. Apply hot air to underneath of spindle.

2. Loosen silver disk underneath and re-apply lubricant to spindle

3. Swap platter to good shell.

What is a technique to remove that spindle bearing cap on the bottom of drives anyways? Do they usually spin out? I've seen people cut a groove into the cap with a dremel which I assume is to use a screwdriver to spin the cap out.
