 Post subject: Usb Drive Head Snapped Off

Greetings Everyone

I have a USB stick with a broken head, it seems the padding is gone. Is there any way to replace the padding or to repair this usb stick?

Any help is much appreciated.

no my friend tried to repair it, he used a butane solder

is this usb stick still repairable?

I think your only hope is if someone (not DIY) could read the nand chip(s) on the other side. Post a pic of the other side.

that been done with a heat gun as you can see on the main ic chip
and for sure not a butane solder gun


easy way is just buy another usb head there are some on ebay
solder it back on and your good to go
