Good morning everyone.I have an Acer Veriton desktop pc, Windows 11 Pro.One day I turn on the pc and suddenly it appears :
"SSD Locked" and then "Enter User Password".Windows won't start.I never entered password, neither on bios nor windows !!Victoria software says : "SSD locked by ATA PASSWORD".I would like to at least be able to see what files and folders are on the ssd.If I can then also save the data, even better.
My ssd is : MyMedia 2.5" Sata III 7mm 256 GB.I reset the Bios by both removing the CR2032 battery and moving the Cmos jumper : all to no avail.
Could someone please help me ? Thank you !!

did you call Acer?

yes.I would have to ship my desktop pc to their labs and I think the cost to fix this problem is high...So I'm not going to do anything with Acer

If you install the SSD in another machine, or attach it via USB, are you then able to retrieve a SMART report? I'm wondering if the SSD really is locked, or if that is a symptom of a firmware "panic".

I believe that site is for BIOS access password, not HDD Lock Password. You would have to get into BIOS first to remove HDD password, but you also would need to know the password to remove it I would think
