I'm currently working on an SSD case for a customer. It's a 2-chip drive with an SM2259XT2 controller.

Using PC-3000, I wasn't able to get anywhere — no success at all.
Usually, I'd declare the case unrecoverable, but this time I decided to try something different.

So, I went ahead with a cold chip-off, which went smoothly!

I found a dual BGA adapter on AliExpress that includes an SM2259XT2 controller to work with the chips.
Of course, I ordered one — nothing ventured, nothing gained!
But now I’m stuck... I’ve got some data and logs that I’d be happy to share with you.

The main reason for this post: has anyone here worked on a similar device?
If so, how did you determine whether the NAND chips were dead versus the adapter not working?

I'd love to hear from you all, and for those interested in this kind of approach, I’ll document all my work here. :)

Best regards,
