Sandisk iSSD SDIS6BM-128G

I need to recover data from this chip: Sandisk iSSD SDIS6BM-128G
It come from ASUS Tablet T300 chi.

I thought about trying to read it as a common eMMC but the pinout doesn't seem to match.
Can anyone help me?

That's a complete SATA SSD on a chip.

So how to read without PCB ?

Find a complete SSD solution and transfer the chip, eg ...

i my self also stumbled accross this drive. The SSD boards are so hard to find. There are almost none

I am digging this up. I got my hands on a donor board. that was fully functional and can get into windows

I swapped the SSD
But both the donor and patient SSD now is not recognisable in BIOS


I don't think i killed the SSD. Since i use 360 degrees C to solder and desolder the SSDs
I think i am coming accross somekind of hard lock on the tablet

I am curious if these pins serve any purpose. Only this SSD have those pins

Size and location would suggest mechanical anchor points and grounding.

looks like all on the ground plane, if looking at the PCB. You could probably buzz it out to see if they are all ground. But some datasheets do say similar pads need to be soldered. on your picture of the chip above, you can see that there are traces going to those pins, most look connected together, but the bottom left group at least has the top pin not connected to the others. I wouldn't assume anything just in case. You might be lucky to find a datasheet, or at least of something similar
