Hello,

I have a WD 2.5" Scorpio Blue (Model WD5000BEVT-00A0RT0).

When I connect it to PC3000, it is recognized, it reaches readiness but with errors. When the drive spin, I can hear an strange sound.

When I run the utility, the model in not read and when I choose the model Scoprio, and I get the logs bellow:

ROM Firmware version.................... :

Service area:
SA dir reading (ID)..................... : DISK SERVO SPINDLE SPINUP ERROR
Configuration reading................... : Module 02 not found

Any procedure or solution to resolve the problem please?

Sounds like you are using pc3000 pci version, not UDMA.

Hello All,

Many thanks for your help.

Yes I'm using PC3000 PCI.

I hear 5 times a quit sound then the sound stop (I'll check again if the drive continue to spin)

If it was stiction or spindle, the drive never reaches readiness. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I started the drive in normal mode and in safe mode.

Most likely read/write heads are damaged.

Dear Friend Read The Diag Carefully.
Head Map Reading Error.................. : Head map check sum error
That Mean Problem In If Drive Dont Get Head Map Then Its Not Reach Readyness. Not Able To Read Information. And No When No Information Awailable U Know What Happend.


SA dir reading (ID)..................... : DISK SERVO SPINDLE SPINUP ERROR
Configuration reading................... : Module 02 not found

Its Caused By Bad ReadWrite Head. But When U Change The Head First Try HOTSWAP Method I Have Many Time Its Happend That I Recover Data From Hot Swap Tipical This Type Of Cases.
