Hitachi not loading open module error

HI all

need help on this problem...
when i hook up my drive to pc3k... it do not intialize but when i choose its family it comes up and gives me error open module not open .....
and i know with out open module u can not intialize this thing... i will appreciate any clue to fix this problem

If the drive is one of the HSS541, HTS721or other new series then this is a common problem. Pc3000 does not allow writing to factory copy of modules and the problem is usually within the PSHT (P-List). Double check by looking in the modules list and check all modules.

I've been doing a lot of development on these drives, and whilst I can now write to the factory modules, getting the drive to come ready still eludes me :(

I dont give up though.

Yes that is right ... it is HTS721drive .. you did describe the problem right... so any solution i can try to solve it or call it quit

maybe NVRAM is wrong ,maybe RSVD and USAG is lost

What is a model of the drive?
Which PC3000 version are you using?

moDEL # hts721 SERIES 100GB ...USING PC3K UDMA IT IS THE NEWER VRSTION ... ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATE

Did you try to start using "Load resources from..." either profile or database of similar disk? This should allow you to check SA condition. Let me know what you find.
