Drive in DE with USB cable sector in the wake of three black display
However, terminals in green, but the speed is very very low
An alternative method, and I donot know it.

sorry i did't really understand it, can you please explain it little more.

If you can read sectors but speed is very very slow, than forget the alternate method.
you should verify the reading from random position is it same at all places (means very very slow)
try reverse imaging ..

see if it helps

Sounds like drive has a firmware issue, hence the slow behavior. It may have other issues as well, but the firmware is simple to check IF the drive allows you to (seems like it should).

You need to convert to sata and work your way after that.

Check Re-Lo list for entries and apply the slow issue fix.
Also if heads are dying the drive might not initialize the translator.

I guess that you can try smart hot swap or do head map in RAM if you have DE.

Hi there !
Sorry, it would be dificult for me to do a "hot swap" or a "smart hot swap" without having the drive with me. Even if i were to instruct you how to do so.
I could check with PC3K and try to do head map in RAM and try to clone with DE, but i assume you already tryed that.

Also i'm not at home (vacations) and i'm using a portable / mobile 4G network adaptor and i'm spending some vacations on a part of the country that have very BAD network coverage, so teamviewer+skype or even teamviewer alone would be VERY SLOW and almost impossible to use.

Also there is no guarantee that i would be of any help as well.

You can try to talk with my sister by skype as she is at home with the good interent connection, but expect to pay $200 USD at least if she manages to get your data back.

Regards.
