Hello Guys,

I have a USB 2.0 1Tb 2.5 Samsung HM100UX. There is something wrong with the usb connection. When I connect the usb cable the pcb does nothing, no lights. I was able to find a power point in the board like you can see in the pictures and I can power up the drive, light shows and motor spins. Tried to connect the usb cable at the same time but the drive spins for a minute and then stops.
I think the only solution is to convert it to sata connection. Can anyone tell me the sata connection locations?

FWIW, there was a fairly recent thread where the solution was to reflow a dry solder joint at a chip inductor near the USB connector. Might be worth a look ...

The attachment shows the SATA Tx/Rx coupling capacitors ... I think.

the post is two years old but I have same problem. Upload pinout JM20339 and datasheet. It could be helpful to other users.
