OK, now I found this thread, sorry ...

I just used FileMon while starting HDD LLF, and it shows that LLFTOOL.EXE is trying to open LLFTOOL.DEU, LLFTOOL.DEU.DLL, LLFTOOL.DE, LLFTOOL.DE.DLL in its directory, and then searching its own and the system directories for a uxtheme.dll, all of which are not found.
Is that uxtheme.dll the problem? I don't know why LLFTOOL would want to use that at all ...

MOW

By the way, do you have any USB or firewire devices connected? Maybe some flash readers, storage devices etc?
What about SCSI boards?

That might help :D

Hi guys,

Has there been any developments on getting this issue fixed? I've run into the same problem using both HDDWipe and HDD LLF, on a Windows 2000 SP4 system, no USB devices attached, one system IDE HDD, one SCSI HDD attached via PCI card.

Same error messages when opening either program:
- 'Error accessing device: Incorrect function'
- 'Cannot change Visible in OnShow or OnHide'

Same Problem here.

The Program ran once as it should - but after quitting and restarting or even deinstalling and reinstalling: no way, always that Problem!

SOLUTION!

I can confirm that Disk Wipe and LLF were both generating this error message on my Dell E4300 (XP SP3) and IBM x60 (win7x86) - the E4300 has definitely been able to run LLF in the past.

EJECT THE SD CARDS

Job done :D
