I purchased HD Duplicator a few months ago. At first, the author was very helpful, but now he no longer responds to my emails, and the name, password, and link I was given no longer works. I lost my downloaded copy and need to download another, and was hoping for the latest version or the latest beta. Does anyone know what happened to Copyr? Are they still in business?

Hello Copyr,
when do you plan to release new version of HD Duplicator with fixed bugs? Current version is C239.
-In some situations Hddup hangs immediately after start if in DMA mode (both disks are ATA).It doesn't clone any sector, just hangs and i need to reset. If switched into PIO it works fine.
-cannot clone SATA disks, have to use SATA-ATA converter
-HDDup sometimes restart the drive through the power controller, but only waits about 2 seconds and restart again and again in the loop. Even if there is a limit 60s (or any other) in the setup "expectation of readines after power on"
-limit of number of config files
-log file is not correctly written when cloning interrupted

There are also some features we would like to see in new version
-Could you add an option to write the file.512 also to skipped sectors? Currently it is only written into unreadable sectors. It is a "must have" as sometimes i only need to fast copy readable sectors and i don't want to proceed in more steps. And if the skipped sectors are not replaced with file.512 i cannot find later which files are damaged.
-when cloning the drive without the check of control sum it always try to read 2 times regardles of the setup and it is very slow.

I haven't tried it yet with SAS, but since this is the first version that supports SCSI (I think, not 100% sure), it might need some work still. Hopefully Alexey gets back soon.

I'm not sure what's the problem with SAS disks, I tried find bug, but I can't. We use FastTrak TX4650 and FastTrak TX2650 SAS controllers, all works well.

Hi all!
I download the HD Duplicator demo from copyrsoft homepage (size limitation 30Gbyte).
But I can clone a 40Gbyte Maxtor.
What is the size limitation of HD Duplicator demo?
Thanks in advance.

There are two ways: to buy full HD Duplicator professional product, or you
can use our freeware software COPYR.DMA
(http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Util ... R_DMA.html)
it is HD Duplicator little brother (has no LBA48 support (disks bigger than
137 Gb) but it can help you with yours 40Gb disk copy).
