I have been looking around at companies I am familiar with for new job opportunities, but they all require previous hands on experience with all aspects of data recovery, PC3K, clean room work, etc. Due to cost, some of these things are impossible for me to do. Do any places have entry level, Logical / software recovery positions where these skills can be learned? Or do I just have to suck it up and save up the $$$ for the tools and teach myself? I have a very good understanding of hard drives, file systems, logical recovery, and have theory and knowledge regarding the work I have not been able to do.

I wasn't asking for anyone to teach me, I haven't been tough anything I know, I have learned it on my own (of course with the guidance of amazing gurus on here and personal research) I was asking if any companies have agents who one do logical recoveries but have the resources where the agent can learn / develop their skills.

Check this forum for diskanalyzers first.
A simple search will teach you a lot about them.
I dont know if they have changed in the positive sense, so be carefull.

Experienced in recovery of user critical data, or experience in using SD tools? This is not the same thing...

I wasn't asking for a job, was just asking if it would even be possible to move to a respected / reputable company with only really logical experience. Maybe if we actually get PC3000 and Deepspar that would help my odds. I have absolutely no interest in SD products due mainly to reading up here on the forums and conversations I have had with respected Gurus

If you tried to apply for a job at a DR company with only SD skills they would probably laugh and show you the door.

Maybe you do use other tools, but you seem to be a real fan of SD. In my opinion, this would only happen if you have no basis for comparison....

If you devote some more time to learning, you'll be able to go to many companies. Th won't be a problem

Definitely devoting the time, I spend almost more time doing research and practicing at home then I do at work :)

I appreciate the feedback all!
