hi guys:
my hard drive is dead, the problem is the pcb (I know that this burned).
I need to save some important data, but i still can not find a pcb that matches 100%.
my hard drive: wd1600js-00mhb1 dcm: dschct2aa 2060-701335-005 rev A
pcb donor: wd1200js-00mhbo dcm: hsbhntjah 2060-701335-005 rev A

i need to know if it is possible that donor pcb work on my hard drive.

You are still going to have problems the ROM is exclusive to each drive and needs to be moved from one pcb to another or done with tools on this one

Greetings

Unfortunately after changing the U12 chip hard drive is not recognized correctly by the PC. When starting the pc just makes a strange noise "click" and I'm not sure he can be. I'm sure the chip U12 is well transplanted.
Please I need a little help, because in my country not many people specializing in this type of situation.

thanks a lot for your responses.
Good luck all

Preamp is probably damaged.
Should be an easy one for one who knows the soul of WDs... and a difficult one for one who doesn't.
