I'm new to this type of repair so I'm taking a shot in the dark with this. I have a Maxtor 5T060H6 that isn't spinning up. If I take the PCB board off the back of the drive and replace it with another Maxtor board (not matching) the drive at least spins up and the armature slides back and forth a cross the disk a few times before stopping - the disk remains spinning. This makes me think that something on the PCB board is bad and that if I replace the board there is a good chance the drive will work.

Maxtor
Model 5T060H6
HDA - 26A
PCBA - 04A
Unique - A2A
Code - TAH71DP0

Do all of the numbers have to match?
