hi
sounds like something is loose inside the drive...
what's the probability of being able to take the lid off and fix it? ie the arm might have come loose!?

Don't shake your drive!
Drives have some components inside that might sound loose, but they actually not.
Hard drives are very sensitive devices, keep that in mind.
Do not take a cover off your drive if you need your data. Recovery of previously opened drives are much more expensive.
