No, HDRC tools and SD tools are not good (or even functional) for drives with spacers

It was what I imagined. HDRC and SD tools, will not work with HDD have the disk spacer.
Does anyone know if there is any method or tool that can i use for HDD with diskspacer?

Thank you to all :(

HDRC hardly works with drives that DON'T have spacers, for that matter

I would like to correct you. HDRC tool can easily move platters from one HDD to another. Whether the HDD will actually work again is something completely different. :D

Sorry to all, but at this point i do not understand nothing !!!! :?:

I only need to know if HDRC, can swap platters, without move allignament of it, from a Hdd with motor blocked and DISK SPACER to another Hdd of same model but with good motor.

The problem for that operation was only the DISK SPACER, and i do not understand if HDRC can do it if Hdd have disk spacer.

Please help me to understand it

Thank you

I do not wish to sound mean, but you should not even be considering moving platters if you are not aware of the options and solutions that are out there for doing so.

There is basically 3 options: SERT, HDDSync, or self designed tools.

All of these options are going to run you at least ~$5000USD, and you will need a ISO100 (minimum) clean room to be able to perform it.

All of these solutions require a lot of practice to execute safely. Even seasoned techs who have done many of these transplants don't enjoy it; because no matter how practiced you are at the procedures there is still many things that can go wrong.

Regards,

As BlackST and arvika mentioned. Try to get into the habit of finding or making your own solutions otherwise your going to be spending an awful lot of money and will always be one step behind on new media.

Also note Russwinters comments. Your jumping in at the deep end here when it comes to faults drives can sustain. Not a very nice problem to fix.

If this is a one-off a pro is far far cheaper than the equipment needed. If you going to be doing a lot of drives I'd get tooling!

For all :
I contact SD, and they say me that now the SD HPE PRO is not ready to sell.
They must be correction on tools, but tell me the new release can be used with Disk Space Hdd.
For now we can only wait, when new release are ready.

Thank you to all, for comment.
