I'm considering a purchase of Atola Imager.
The Software update are very expensive, I wonder If those updates can be achieve freely on the internet and so to save those high costs.
Software updates during first year after purchase $0.00
Software updates for 1 year $499.00
Software updates for 2 years (prepayment) $899.00
Software updates for 3 years (prepayment) $1199.00

What do you said about that?
Is it easily can be achieve?

By the way, what is the difference between Atola Imager and Atola Insight?
What is better Deepspar or Atola?

Gee 3 years of updates for Atola = 1 year of updates for ACE UDMA. This is not such a bad deal you get three for 1. No you can not find updates on the Internet.

DI is a good tool but not sure if you pay for update or not.

Most tools will cost you for update and to keep them current. If you need them, use them, and they are your business you will pay to keep them in updated order so that you can do your work well.

Why it is a bad idea?

No it is not only HW that does the job but also SW. I think before you get into this type of work and invest in these tools you should do some major reading and studying and learning. I feel that you are in the wrong line of work and need to change your field if you do not understand the importance of updates.

i bought the atola imager the updates are added feature that they will add later on
head mapping etc

and software improvement

the software control the hardware

its worth spending the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for the updates

rather then trying to find them online so people can cheat the developers and the people who spent a lot of time in developing this cool machine
