The other day at work I removed an HDD to create an image of a clients machine before performing work. I used an external power supply that came with a USB to SATA adapter to power the HDD. The power supply fried the logic board of the drive. I am looking for a drive that might be compatible for a logic board swap. Attached is a picture of the patient and a picture of a drive I think may be compatible donor. I'll never use a crappy power source again! Can someone please tell me if the HDD I have in mind would be compatible or point me in the right direction? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You can't just swap PCBs around, they are specific to the drive

How do I go about finding a PCB for the drive? The top picture is the most similar drive I have found so far.

please check your bad PCB model is 2060-701499-00X REVA or no. and the top pic should be same PCB with your. but it's without ROM chip that you need program original FW ingo good PCB with special tool. i can help with PCB and FW transfer.

Show us a detailed photo of the component side of the damaged PCB.

Depending on the damage, there may be an easy DIY fix.
