What do you say?
Before I order this drive, is it can work for PCB swap and/or Head swap?

Nothing but the date is different between the hard drives.

Or I look on the worng details?
If I do, what are the right details?

Some customer has entrusted you with data recovery on this disk?

The family code can easily be identified based on the second half of model number.

Head Replacement is very difficult here so you need to make sure you have reached right diagnostic.

If you are absolutely sure the problem is not elsewhere, and head change is needed, maybe you should consider outsourcing to a member of the forum who can do it for you at resonable cost with good chance of getting data off.

Maybe you should write here the symptoms? Some failures will share symptoms which can make good diagnostic difficult without experience...

These do look like compatible match, but experience is just as important here as compatibility...

Looks like a good donor.

You'll need good diagnostics, too. And probably good tools as well.

Nothing matches on the drive you want to buy. Its like trying to put a square block into a circle opening.. no point.

You need to find exact donor- fw, first 3/4 letters of serial number/ and best is production site match too.
Good luck with finding that. However- you can get these pcb manufactured in china.. but you need to know who to contact.. ok.

Then after you get the stuff. What then?

I mean veteran members said that this is a good match. I don't know you and your skills, but you new in this forum so please supply more details.

OK i m not sure what you trying todo. WHen you say not seen by the computer.

Does it spin up?
Does it show up in bios?
Does it show in windows device manager and show or not show in computer manager?

and
do you have any recovery tools? such as pc3000 / hd doctor?

In my post before-
you need to match
Firmware version (fw)
Serial number XXXyyyy...y where X-the same numbers as on your patient - whey y is other not too important [Best to match up to 4 first digits]
Same model Number / PCB number (maybe they used the same pcb on 120 and 80gb - but the fw will be different and useless for you/ unless you know how to replace the fw chip)

If it does not spin - then it might not be pcb - given the age of the drive- maybe spindle seized or stepper chip is damged.

I understand where is "our" problem, I published the wrong pictures and you based your answer about the wrong pictures. I fixed that already in the former repaly of mine but those are the correct pictures again:

I just realised that- sorry im noit sure how i missed your second links..

It is a close match. but it would be preferred on the same year and as close to the production date, just because they could have used a different version of chips on the pcb. Keep an eye on that but look for a better match.
