As reasoning with you apparently is not an option, I give up! In conclusion I will leave you with the following quote:

A sharp tongue is no indication of a keen mind

just something to reflect on

I dont understandy why somebody would bridge diodes- can anybody find a guide that shows you to bridge diodes? All the guides say remove them and/or replace them (maybe somebody thought that bridging them is like replacing them?) But how many drives has he bolsed up and not realised heas toasting them all.
The soldering job is sh!t , maybe somebody thought they new what thery were doing- a favour for a friend..

Is this really somebody that calims to be DR service?? Are there any details.. i mean there should be a blacklist for "comapnies" / "people" / "animals" like this. The soldering work is as good as my unborn childs.
Not only from DR perspective but from electronics and any IT perspective it makes me sick to the core that such people do these things.

Sorry for my error on this, I didn't pay it much attention as it was late. Yes, I agree not the smartest thing to do. However, I am still interested in what the end results was and who did the work. Because just an uploaded picture does not mean that this has been done by any DR Company. Despite it, the point I was trying to make should still be clear.

Read it again, and this time pay a little more attention.

Is this pertaining to the Atlanta case?

I have given you links to both threads. All the information is there. There were no additional private exchanges. Now it's up to you and your comprehension skills.

This thread does bring up the question of "Does the Data Recovery" industry need some kind of international regulation.

People do lose their precious data to cowboys and some companies / retail chains (Like PC World in UK) take peoples fears and use it against them.

Some companies take the analysis fee with no thought of going through with the recovery

However, there are some very GOOD recovery companies who treat customers as individuals and have some morality when it comes to the prices that they charge.

P.S I am just an engineer I don't get any commision or bonus for the work I do I just get "Job satisfaction" :O)

hmm... I guess I could follow your link farm and spend time reading all of it which would be pointless, or I could finish the recovery of several fire damaged systems for a fortune 500. hmm.... this is going to be a hard decision, let me thing about it

That's fine. Hopefully you'll be able to put your newly learned skills to good use. If you need more help, feel free to ask.

BTW, I'd keep your business identity a secret, if I were you.

In fact I "remotely" snipped so many TVS diodes during the past 12 months that my notional DR income could buy me another house.

If Data Recovery consisted just on TVS repairs, it would be called TVS Recovery. But its not.

By "DR income", I actually meant "Diode Removal" income. Sorry for the confusion.

That's really funny, you got jokes. Anyways as this pointless discussion is going nowhere and apparently you receive some kind of arousal from long unnecessary debates as you have proven time and time again. I will deny you the pleasure of continuing this one.

@Beto,
sorry for taking over this post with a bunch of unnecessary back and forth.
