My Hard disk Samsung 160GB / 7200 rpm/ 2M / pata is not detected in my computer. It is shown in Bios setup. Some tick-tick noise comes from it. I tried to recover data using Software PC Inspector but drive is not located. Please guide me how I recovered data from it. My hard disk is in warranty

First, you should select one: your data < --- > warranty.
Probably you can't keep both.

Additionally your drive have phisical problems, there is no way to recover it with any software (only).
For the recovery you should have a lot of tools and equipments, special and expensive softwares and the most important: knowledge for solve the problem or at least correctly diagnose the problem.
You can save a lot of money and time, if you seek for professional help to the local DR companies....

Yes, you should poweron your Lecroy disk analyzer, and check the drive can get servo signal with all of the heads.
If no, you need to go into your cleanroom, get the matching MHA for replace, than do it.
If yes, you should plug your drive into your PC3K complex, and check the firmware modules consistency.
After this you should know where to continue.

All of these steps are available at your home?
if not, then you should seek for professional help.
If you do something wrong (even force to spin the failing drive) you can easily multiple the recovery price, and divide the chance for success....

Kidding aside you will need at least a diagnostic report from a DR company. Janos is correct insofar as the cost for equipment and knowledge far exceeds the cost of a single drive recovery.

I had 3 samsung do this - 1 day after i bought them.
You will need to use profesional service to recover your data because it is complicated process.
Otherwise RMA the samsung - and store your precious data somewhere it wont get lost...

If your data is really important, you can find a data recovery specialist, and for probably few hundred, they can recover the data for you.

Sometimes they can be the only option.

At least you get your files back. I mean if there is absolutely no other way to recover the files, and they are that important. Sometimes they do not charge you a lot. Depends who you choose to do the data recovery.

Just spend a lot of time searching who charges less (like Chinese recovery specialists).

Example: http://www.drivestar.org/index.htm - They said it would cost about $300 - with shipping not included to recover about 450GB of data on 2 partitions (cause: fried TVS diode/s on the circuit board - unless I would find a way to fix the circuit board, and pay about $60 to buy a new backup hard drive where to move the contents of this hard drive to).

Compared to lots of U.S. recovery specialists, where they would charge you $500 - over $1,000 for recovery services - depends what is the hard drive problem, and how much to recover.
