Guarda che io non ho parlato di cifre , tutt'altro. Ci sono cose che costano poco (tutto e' relativo se non intendi spenderci NULLA non e' un problema di mercato). Ho solo detto e lo ribadisco che con gli strumenti giusti tiri fuori tutto quello che c'e' da tirare fuori senza stressarti, in maniera sicura e senza che il drive ti muoia tra le mani. Poi ognuno fa quello che vuole con i suoi dati.

I never gave a quote, instead. There are cheap things (everything is relative : if you don't want to spend a dime it's not a market problem). I only said (and I say it again) that with the proper gear you can get data out without hassle, safely and avoiding having the drive died in your hands. So said, your data your choice.

Yes, I would say nearly 8/10 drives we get are heads failure. It entirely too common.
The rest are firmware or head killers.

Of course, in terms of "swapping platters" as the other respondent mentioned, I have never found a technician willing to do this. In fact, they will do anything else besides this to avoid doing this.
