Hello,

I have my HDD partitioned for 2 parts C: (System) and D: (Data) and I lost my part D: yesterday. I know there "somewhere" is part D:, but I don´t know where and how I can get it. I tried EASEUS, it has showed me part D: and it still exists but I could not reach and open that.
Please can you give me some advice about it?

Thanks, Jacob

Hi,

Try to find an application like R-Studio to open your partition and get data.

By the, what do you mean that you could not reach the partition and open it with Easeus?

Hi,

I have scanned my disc 0 (is C: and D: together) and Easeus has found lost disc D:, it showed me real informations about its, including true size of D:, but I could not get my data from dist D:. But I don´t know why. I´ll try your advice and download R-Studie and I´ll see, what happens.

So it's a bit strange.
Well, try with r-studio and let us know the results.

Could we see the partition table and boot sectors with Microsoft's Sector Inspector?
http://www.users.on.net/~fzabkar/SecInspect.zip

Extract the above archive to the one folder and execute the SIrun.bat file. The procedure will generate a report file named SIout.txt.

You may need to give yourself administrator privileges.

If R-Studio doesn't work for you ...

Does the second partition show up in Disk Management?

Can you see it with TestDisk or Partition Find and Mount?

You disk your data. But there is a reason why your D partition is gone. If you want to get it back clone your drive. This is the first step you should be doing now instead of running all kinds of recovery program on your orignal drive. Clone it!!!!!!

This is the first thing anybody who gives advise should tell you. Sorry most important to work from a clone on this one. There is a reason behind this one and I am not saying your disk has errors but it is possible. You can lose data on it at anytime if this one is true.

You disk, your data, But any professional who reads this will tell you to stop now, clone your drive, and work from clone. You can always fix your drive later on after you get back your data of the clone.

Best advise to you never work from a drive that has problems even logical problems always work from a clone of this drive. You will have a better chance of getting back your data.
