Hey guys,

Wondering if you guys could help me with a quick diagnosis. The drive spins up and sounds normal. The model and capacity are recognized by the bios. GetDataBack reports sector read errors for every sector.

As you can see, it appears the diodes have been removed and the resistors bridged.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks!

It appears that your drive may be password protected.

Examine its security status with HDAT2 or HDDScan.

HDAT2/CBL Hard Disk Repair Utility:

HDDScan – free HDD test utility with USB flash and RAID support:

To my knowledge, it's not password protected.

Security Status 0021h = 0000000000100001b
-> Security disabled
-> Security supported
-> Enhanced Security Erase: supported

Entire HDAT log attached.

I'm looking for a recommendation of a pro that can help get this drive going. I'm in Northern California but will gladly ship the drive.
