Hi fellow sufferer! Sorry I can't be of any help, but just to say I'm in a very similar position to you - broken RAID10 with (in my case) 3 of the drives intact and possibly the 4th, but some data was only written to 2 of those 3 drives after they were used in a 'degraded' state for a while (during which time I had a bad backup happen, hurrah!)
So I am about to start experimenting with R-Studio - or maybe not, if it seems too likely that I'll muck it up!
The mirror-then-stripe situation is what is making me nervous, together with the potentially mis-matched data - the PC they were in was not configured by me, so although I know the order the drives were in the box, I don't know which cables went where (ie ports they were connected to).
What's the safest way (using R-Studio) to establish the condition and 'role' of each drive without damaging data?
Sorry, not wanting to hijack a thread, but in days of searching this is the first time I've found anyone trying to do a remotely similar thing!
Good luck, and I'd be very grateful for any info shared.
Adrian
