after Read testing the hdd with Victoria software im getting warnings
7:05:54 : Warning! Block start at 5888 = 978 ms
7:05:54 : Warning! Block start at 6144 = 603 ms
7:05:56 : Warning! Block start at 18176 = 459 ms
etc..
etc...
im pretty sure all these slow sectors cause my hangs-ups on pc especially games, what can i do so i can get rid of these slower sectors from hdd?

backup your data and replace the drive. It will only get worse

did that already... i want to "fix" this hdd if is possible that why i asked otherwise i would go buy new one

i just want to learn how/if this have a "cure" to fix the delayed sectors.. i will get a new one prolly but i also have other hdd's with same slower sectors and i need to know how can it be fixed.. can someone tell me how or just send me to the shop ?...thx

u can try runing MHDD with remap. But i dont think it will help much.

btw it IS data destructive so backup 1st.

no other tool can do it from windows and not a DOS ?

Basically what you are limited to is a zerofill and hoping any bad sectors will get fixed or reallocated. Sure, there are tools that can do this in windows such as Victoria. BUT at the end of the day you are working with a very old hard drive and IMO there is not much point.

well i know what u mean, the problem is that i also have a few more laptop hdd's runing on usb cable adaptors and when i scan them also found quite a few slow sectors on all of em.. and replacing all of em isnt the solution so im trying to figure out if is possible to save my money..with ur help ofc:P
