I am a new user of HD Doctor .
I starts with the manuals of 'HD Doctor' for WD for last two weeks.
Still I havn't understand many of the functions of the software used with it.
Can you help me to study it by 'step by step'?

Is it neccessary to start first with 'DataCompass' for a begginner?
Please help me.

Thanking you.

Regards,
Shahid.

The SD manuals are a joke and that is what Thatdellguy says. You will be studying them forever and never get anywhere with them. They are written in very poor English and very hard to understand. There is nobody who is going to hold your hand and walk you through this process Step by Step. You have some choices on this one. One is called Search on Internet to find out all you can about the WD HDD. Second write your own manual. Thrid purchase a third party manual from someone else. Fourth take some training classes to get you started on this one.

The DC will not help you to learn this tool. It is a cloning tool to copy and clone your drive to a new one. Then you work on the cloned drive to get back your data from it.

HD Doctor is for restoration & Data Compass is for imaging, both are different.

'poehere' is right, choice is yours
