its a false alarm

I found a machine today that would not recognize any USB hubs to save its life. Turned out it had had some SD Doctor installed on it at some point, and their driver for the unit (USB.sys and USB.inf) had overwritten the stock Windows usb.inf (which is responsible for USB hubs and composite devices). Replaced it with a good copy and everything works like magic.

Salvation could really use a QA department

That could be more of a windows problem. My pc's with SD doctors continue to recognize all the USB devices until now.

I informed SD of this naming conflict months ago.

Oh, then we should have it fixed by late 2013.
