i have a computer bussines that i still run for many years i have been working with computers since the first commodere 64.
So i want to start to offer to my customers data recovery service , i have some experience recoverying data with all kind of recovery software but i see there are machines that does the trick also i talked to a guy who works recoverying data and he said he has some pci cards that he has connected to his computer then with an especial software that card has he can do many things.
Please i would like to know what things should i buy to start this new proyect.

Whats your budget? A good imager/firmware repair tool would be high on the priority list. I have an Atola Insight and have been very happy with it. If budget allows then a PC-3000 plus Data Extractor would be a very good choice as well, but it has a much higher learning curve from what I have heard.

Without a doubt - your first purchase should be a Deepspar Imager. I can't praise this machine enough. Outsource your firmware problems or start saving heavily for a PC3k or Atola Insight. The upfront cost is one thing however its the yearly update fees that you have to factor in also. The DDI will pay for itself in no time.

Keep in mind that tools will only get you so far in this industry. Research and knowledge will keep your business afloat. DR tools can be easily purchased from the dozen or so DR companies that disappear monthly. Outsourcing all the difficult jobs will give your company a bad reputation.

Of course this seems the most difficult part to get.

In a nutshell, you need the K-H as prerequisite, tooling can help. Without, you can do the same if you are so good at it.
