Not especially, but a lot of apple drives we get have been cooked :-(

Drives, regardless of brand, coming out of MACs suck. Do not understand why?!?!

Poor heat dissipation IMHO due to the design of the MacBooks (I.e. Lovely to look at, nice and slim, but no airflow)

Hi
For Hitachi laptop drives we had cases were apple branded had more heads than hitachi donor (same model) or different head map so we use "bigger" donors in that cases.

model and first 2 lines out of 4 on the PCB sticker is my rule. So far worked every time.

That makes sense. I wish people would stop powering them on as soon as they no longer work.

Yep, or running "disk warrior" on a clicking drive for hours on end!!!
