hi friends my client has external harddisk of westerndigital when we trying to open "disk is not formatted " i think mbr filerecord is corrupted pl helpme how to correct it without formating or dataloss

Put the drive in a external enclosure, and scan the drive with any SW recovery tools that is out there...like Get Data Back, R-Studio or simular.

thank for your repy i tryed with rstudio and icare but the data is not comming & there is no other method to get back hd in goodcondition without doing format i mean again to repair mb record tell me pl

You have wrongly guessed about the cause of your problem.

A problem with the MBR would not prevent RStudio etc. from finding data during a raw scan.

The error message you see about "disk not formatted" can have several different possible causes, but a problem with the MBR is rarely involved.

There are other tests you could do (if you accept the risks of DIY!), but it is clear to me from the thread so far, that I would have some communication problems with you. Therefore I politely suggest you work with a local DR company to remove those communication issues.
