i have got this 7200.12 ST31000528AS FW CC34.
the drive spin, make some high noise for 2 seconds like difficulty in calibration, than stay quite continuing spinning. it reach ready state and ID only after 20 seconds.
Drive was not dropped.
i can read all SA and i made backup, but i can't read sectors becouse it goes in timeout.
I am considering to regenerate traslator.

From power ON:
"
Rst 0x20M
(P) SATA Reset
PASS
RW: Error processing Performance Parameter File: 203C
Send Status: COMRESET seen
InitiateMarkPendingReallocateRequest for disc_lba: 00000067

"
till the END (drives gets ready)

why it was not good my previous post?

( if i try to reset smart, the drive goes to timeout and stay busy)

Common in 7200.12. This specific problem can be solved under 'HDD ID EDITING' commands within PC3K utility
