Hi everyone, I've been looking everywhere about where I can get a replacement PCB for my hard drive. It is a Maxtor DiamondMax 16 120GB, and the code is RAMB1UU0. On the large IC, the number is 040108000. I can't find any information relating to this PCB. Will a PCB with code RAMB1TU0 work with my hard drive? They are much more common

The problem I'm having is an IC that is burnt. It is in the lower right corner when the board is viewed with the power and ide connectors facing away from me.

HowTO How To replace Maxtor Calypso III board:
howto-how-replace-maxtor-calypso-iii-board-t5977.html

"For the following Maxtor hard drive models: Fireball 3, DiamondMax 16, DiamondMax Plus 8, DiamondMax Plus 9, Diamond Max 10 and all MaxLine products there is also a GTLA Number on the model (next to barcode on the bottom of the drive).

Format 1Y222J2223322.

1, 2 and 3 stand for numbers, Y and J for letters.

The numbers 1 and 3 as well as the letter Y need to be identical to be able to replace the PCB on these drives.

This number can be found on the large sticker on the top of the drive."
