I have a WD3200JD - 22KLB0 in for recovery, which refuses to spin-up. The motor cols have the right resistance, and the platters are spinning freely (tried by rotating the complete disk, you can hear the whistling sound the ball-bearing probably is making). This leads me to believe that the PCB is dead.
The PCB number is 2060-701336-003 REV A. This is an PCB with a 88i6540-LFH1 controller, with an IDE interface, and a 88i8030-TBC1 IDE to SATA bridge chip. The SMOOTH chip is an L6283 1.3 and the RAM chip is an HY57V641620ETP-6.

We don't have an identical PCB in stock, but we do have an WD3200JB - 00KFA0 PCB in stock, number 2060-701314-003 REV A. This PCB has the same controller and SMOOTH chip, and a different RAM chip (K4S641632H-UC60), but with the same capacity as the patient. Also, this PCB doesn't have an IDE to SATA bridge chip.

Does anybody know if it will work if I switch the EEPROM (U12) to the donor board, or if it is worth trying? Or should I just start looking for a identical twin of my patient PCB?

For reference, I have included scans of both the patients PCB, and the possible donors PCB.

Negative, sorry.
But this is a very common pcb, if you just google it you will find many sites with this pcb available at $39.

Hi,
2060-701314-003 REV A -> Buccaner
2060-701336-003 REV A -> Buccaner

This PCBs can be used interchangeably !!!
Of course ROM chip needs to be transfered to new PCB ...

We decided to just try it, and it indeed worked! Our SATA disk is now a PATA disk, and putting out data at 60MB/s.

Hi HDD Guru forum!

@Tommyboy
I know you already solved but L4 on left top of pcb looks damaged
and cause the drive not to get power from one of the lines of sata
connector.
