Hello guys,

I really need help here...

I have slaved and auto mounted 1TB HD in my Ubuntu system. Now, my system has crashed and I tried to backup data and files in the HD. Generally speaking, the HD is already an ext3 type. When I try to open it using windows, HD is read as RAW. How to save the data available in the HD?

I've tried using easus and other recovery file... but still, no hopes... well at least easus can read the data inside but didn't manage to backup the data..

Thanks in advance..

First I would recommend understanding why the system crashed to ensure there are no problems with the HDD other than the corruption you mentioned. MHDD can help you with this to get a general drive status.

If HDD checks out ok, then run R-Studio demo.

just an add on ... I try to check the status of my disk ... using teskdisk .. it won't read my hd... I don't want to put an assumption if it's a hardware failure... yet ..

Does it show up in BIOS and/or device manager with correct model?

High chance, yes. But more testing by a professional is necessary. And I mean a reputable DR company.

Why, do you plan to eat it later?

If your drive is recognized in Bios, you can try to use R-Studio to scan and retrive your files.

No, not going to solve anything, but just make things worse potentially.

This is a misnomer that is not applicable in modern hard disk drives.
