I have one of these drives in that will come ready, all of the modules test good, and so do all of the heads. Unfortunately I have no access to the user data. When I try Sector Edit, I just get ERR ABR, the drive stays spinning and doesn't click or make any sounds. Now when I try a Logical Test I get ERR ABR as well, but the drive immediately makes a light click, spins down for about 10 seconds, spins back up, then repeats itself. I have already tried a new PCB, cleared GList, SMART, and tried Regenerating the Translator.

I don't really know where to go from here, any thoughts or suggestions?

Possibly one or more heads are not healthy and translator cannot load. You can try to pair good heads in Head Map in RAM.

As far as I remember you need to specify the address in RAM manually as Head Map Edit feature in PC3K does not find Sadle head map.

@freakzy: I'm not at work currently, will be later today, so I don't know the exact version #, but its the version right before the one announced a few days ago.

@hddguy: as said above not working currently, I will see if I can figure that one out when I get in.
