Hi,

We have Alien Pro Lite DVR for 16 Cameras,

I really need to go back to July 2011 it's just few months before, but it says no RECORD found.

It sounds like somebody delet is or formatt it :(

Please help me if there is any chance to recover the data.

I really appreciate your help and only god knows how really I need to see the video.

Kind Regards,

Ehab Khela

DVR keeps video's for certain number of days, usually 30 or 60 and then it rewrites old files with new ones.

Even less, depending on too many things (HDD size, recording quality, compression etc.) .

In any case, would be VERY unlikely for common, unmanaged CCTV systems to store half a year of CCTV footage.......

if video files are overwritten with new records

then the chances will be in my best guess 10-20%
even with those 20% for example, you or whoever can get you some old records BUT
BUT you will end up with 1 of 2:

1- files not working at all - dead end
2- headers MIGHT be ok, but video`s will brick and stop = hell of time FIXING which leads to extra cost

good luck

Have successfully recovered video even when no filesystem is used - many systems are like that - and fragments from heavily corrupted/overwritten disks. Everything depends on urgency and money to spend.
