I have a Seagate ST1000DM000 hdd (from an external expansion drive) that suffered a shock and the read/write heads are gone.
There`s also a visible scratched circle on the top disc (at least)
What I want to do, in order to try and save the data, is to find another HDD that`s compatible with this one
(i couldn`t find to buy the exact model) and to replace the discs in the new drive with the damaged ones
(and if necessary, the PCB also)

So I will need some help in finding a compatible model to do the switch.
Thank you!

If the data is important, you don't want to follow that plan. :( You won't have the tools or experience to be successful, and you'll likely make the situation even worse, or perhaps totally unrecoverable.

Assumng your location of Winchester is the one in the UK, you could use the services of member pcimage, for example, but I don't expect a low cost recovery from that damage. Your disk; your choice :)

I agree on this one. You will never make get this to work. Everyone wants to swap out platters for some unknown reason. Heads are gone so why not swap out platters and pcb to make it better. Plus your heads have left a scratch on the top disk so when new heads hit this it will kill them too. If you do not have the right tools and knowledge to do this it will never work. You can try pcimage in UK to see if he is willing to take on this job for you but in this case I am sure there is no 100% recovery on this one and it will be rather expensive considering you have already opened the disk and played around inside of it.

if there is a visible scratch on the surface chances of getting your data even with a professional DR service are minimal (chances to get all of your data are zero but maybe some data can be recovered)
Even if you put damaged platters to a new base with new heads it won't do any good because once heads fly above the scratch they will be damaged instantly and you will be back to square one. And the heads will fly above the scratch because drive does the whole swipe during initialization and it won't init if you don't let the drive do that. This model also won't init if drive will think that one(or more) of the heads is not kosher
Basically you screwed unless you willing to pay a 4-digit amount for a partial recovery with slim chances
