at first i would excuse for my bad english because i came from germany and english wasn´t always my popular lesson...

But back to my Problem:

Two weeks ago i changed my PSU ! Unfortunately i picked a used Enermax which send over to high Voltage to my Storage (WD10EADS HDD and one Intel SSD). Both where after the high voltage damaged and not displayed in th BIOS. The HDD wouldn´t turn any more. So i decided to change the controller (Not the same PCB Number) ! After this the HDD starts but isn´t displayed in the BIOS yet ! The engine starts to turn, you hear 3 low clicks and the HDD turns down.

Now i asked myself if i can solder out (or a smd soldering company) the Smooth Chip and my original Controller is "alive" again ? Or is there any other way to save my data without spending my whole money (Poor Student )

You will need to match a donor PCB. And the most important part, that you will need a special equipments ( and know how ) to make the donor PCB compatible with your drive.

Is there any one who has good internetshops where i can find the exact controller ? What numbers must be the same ?

Is there Perhaps a Shop who can transfer my firmware ? Or is it possible just to transfer my firmware on an other controller (Not the same numbers, this one did i buy some days ago (Same Hardware but numbers different))

That said, your damage was not confined to your TVS diodes, so this means you will need to transfer the "adaptive" data from your original PCB to the replacement PCB. There is one forum member who provides a free "PCB adaptation" service if you purchase your replacement PCB from him. I'm assuming that there is no 8-pin chip at location U12 near the Marvell MCU (big "M"), otherwise you could transfer this chip to your donor PCB.

THX for you replies, i have bought a new PCB and when it arrives i will first try to replace the controller (Can the new one get damaged by this work?) ! 99% it won´t work with just replace the controller, so if this happend i think i will let it solder out !
