So I was messing around my case and changing out some parts. It was a little cramped and i was kind of in a rush and... I Snapped the plastic guide holding the gold SATA connectors and now they are bent and fail to make good enough contact to show up on the BIOS. Whoops. So now I cant connect, but otherwise the hard drive is still fully functional, spins up, etc.

So, Im guessing I would need to change out the PCB, only problem is I am having a real problem finding one.

As for donor PCB, you can search ebay, donordrivesource.com, effectiveelectronics.com, and you can ask eric lee (search for him on this form). You need to match the first two lines on the PCB sticker (near sata connector) and move the ROM information from the bad PCB to good pcb (either with hardware data recovery tools or by manually moving the chip). Why not just get a pcb with the same sata connector on it and swap the connector? This way you don't need to worry about swapping chips and datecodes and all that stuff. It can't get any simpler than that!

I agree with Keatah. No special tools or skills required. Fully DIY solution. Need a soldering iron and connector from similiar not working PCB.
