As you can see, head is not aligning properly.

But to me it looks like your spindle is not up to speed enough for the heads to unlock. The movement of the arm across the platters is vacuum/air driven, but only performs correctly when the spindle is at the correct speed. When you spin the platters with your fingers (only from the center and only counterclockwise), do you feel it hang in any spots or does it feel sticky?

Seeing that it was dropped the whole spindle could have become damaged

Running the drive with the lid removed, is a very bad idea.

HDD is not detected in BIOS.
Does it means a faulty PCB?

No, not necessarily. My Seagate had a seized spindle and wasn't detected either, PC would hang on POST even. If something is mechanically wrong, which it looks that way, the drive will not "talk" to the computer.

Did u try spinning the platters to check for rough spots ? If it doesn't spin freely than I would guess it's not getting up to speed.

I'll place an order this week.
Chances are very low to rescue this HDD, i already messed up.
Good thing is they are sending 96 pcs of different head replacement tools.
So i can practice on old HDDs.

From your other posting where-start-t23922.html you say you want to step in to DR.
If your serious about this then you will need start slowly & do lots of research & developement & have lots of money.

Your first step should be forgetting jumping in to the deep end & doing head swaps, platter swaps & stiction etc.
Start off by researching TVS diodes, external ROM, USB PCB'c & sata hacks, PCB testing, PCB matching requirements, R-Studio, Seagate Terminal, Raid recovery using virtual raids, creating images of drives with bad sectors using software ie ddrescue, media tools etc, write everything down you learn so you know you can use it as a resource database.

Ive seen Scotts Moultons distance learning course videos & if you know nothing about DR then its a good place to get the basics (dont think you can watch it & then start a business)
Training courses are expensive & there is no governing body for qualifications ie Scotts, Infosect ect certificates are worthless as they examed by them so it would be like printing you own certificate. looks good to the public though.
If you want a proper certificate then go to the DR equipment venders ie acelab & do there training courses.

Once you get to a point where you cant go any further then start buying dr kit. STAY AWAY FROM SALVATION DATA unless you want buggy software & waste your money - Ive been there done that & never again.

Companies to look into are:
Ace Laboratories, Deep Spar, Atola, Soft Centre, HDD Surgery for starters.
Equipment is expensive so plan what you buy
ie my recommendation

PC3000 UDMA
Softcentre kit for USB pen, Sd cards etc recoveries
Best advice for hardware - buy the best first time so you dont regret it later.

I need cases for study and cases to experience
And i'll check that companies you are talking about.

This HDD is not a success/failure goal for me but it's my first experience.
Experience with full of mistakes
Anyways, i've already placed order for HDDs, i'll try my chance and will post results here.
