Hi all.
I have a pretty big problem .. I wanted to install Ubuntu installation I chose the wrong partition. I have a laptop in it 640GB drive that was partitioned to C: \ and D: \ .. When installing Ubuntu I chose D: \ and then created a partition 445Gb, because I thought that Ubuntu will be installed on the remaining 15GB, which is the D: \ drive reserved ... But unfortunately, the opposite was true ... so now I only see windows in the C: \ drive, which has 160Gb and the rest I do not see at all ... Unfortunately, I'm on it "rest" all data .. school work (drawings in AutoCAD and similar important files) .. need to study at the university = ((... please help me ... what can I do to change returned? Many thanks for any valuable advice!

So there is no way to fix it without having to disassemble the laptop?? Omg .. I'm worried that it'll break even more .. R-Studio trying now .. It scans was about 4 hours and it's still not finished. I've heard of the company Data Recovery .. so I'll probably just have to put there = (
If I could turn back time ....

Some other advice please?

to einstein9:
Until then, I broke it, I discovered the VM OS = / damn...

If it's not too late, and you haven't disassembled your laptop, you may use the network capabilities of R-Studio: Emergency Data Recovery over Network.

i never trust linux for partitioning or allowing it to do so. it always meddles with rest of the system..
i always do it on seperate hdd or vm..

however the chances of gaining ur data back is very thin and slight i have been through similar situation.. wish it could improve for u
